The EU has passed the new migration pact…

The EU has passed the new migration pact, a series of laws which will update EU policy on refugees to share the burden across Europe.
The legislation includes the potential for the EU to decide an “emergency” necessitates an increase in the quota of refugee, which could be massive, and allows the EU to fine member states for not taking a quota of refugees.
The pact is now going to member states. Ireland needs to reject it.
